Preach!

Then Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

How do you define love? How does the world define love? Is it letting people do whatever they want? On the other hand, not telling them the truth because it may ‘hurt’ their feelings? The most important question how does God define love? For the answer, let us go to His word. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does NOT delight in EVIL but rejoices with the TRUTH. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.”

Think of an overdue intervention, where a person is comfortable in their vices and addictive behaviors, and someone loves them enough to tell them they need rehab (to repent) and recovery (trust in Jesus Christ for forgiveness and salvation). Because they too have been there before. That is real love.

Jay Budziszewski said it best, "Real love/compassion ought to make us visit the prisoner, dry out the alcoholic, help the pregnant girl prepare for the baby, and encourage the young homosexual to live chastely. But how much easier it is to forget the prisoner; give the drunk a drink, send the girl to the abortionist, and tell the kid to just give in. False compassion is a great deal less work than true.”

“And Jesus said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
